Position Overview

Harbinger Motors is looking for a Functional Safety Manager to join our growing team. The Functional Safety Manager will work closely with a cross-functional team of Systems, Electrical and Software Engineers to ensure safe operation of our vehicles in accordance with ISO 26262 by developing and implementing a company-wide functional safety process, assisting with analysis and performing reviews.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain company-specific functional safety process and procedures in accordance with ISO 26262
Support systems, electrical and software engineering teams and participate in functional safety planning, analysis and design
Perform independent reviews of functional safety deliverables
Perform functional safety audits of system and component suppliers as necessary

Preferred Skills and Experience

Bachelor's degree or higher in Safety, Electrical, Software or related engineering field
5+ years experience in highly regulated industry such as automotive or aerospace
2+ years experience performing safety analyses in compliance with ISO 26262 or equivalent standards
Experience delivering ISO 26262 deliverables
Experience leading cross-functional teams through completion of important milestones
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong planning and communication skills
Experience interfacing with external suppliers
