Harbinger Motors is currently seeking an experienced engineer to join our team as early employee. As an early engineering employee, you will have various opportunities to shape the direction of the vehicle architecture, component detailed design, and overall company direction. The primary responsibility for this position will be the Powertrain system including Stator, Rotor and Drive Unit assemblies.

What You’ll Do:

Responsible working with the manufacturing team to define sequence and strategy for building at the rate defined by each phase of the program for the complete Powertrain - Rotor, Stator and Electric Drive Unit (EDU)
Jump into the execution of the Beta Prototype build and take ownership of equipment that is currently on order and being delivered
Work with a team to execute the Beta prototype build
Identify issues and improvements through the Beta prototype build and provide recommendations for product and process improvements moving from the Beta Prototype Build Phase into the initial Pilot Production Build Phase
Provide Design for manufacturing feedback to the engineering team on future designs to support the rate and quality targets defined by the program
Work with a team to help define all processes required for assembling the Powertrain (Stator, Rotor and EDU

Who You Are:

Bachelor’s degree or greater in electrical, computer, mechanical, or related engineering field
Experience at the beginning of an automotive program building off of a clean slate
Diverse skill set with ability to contribute on other activities outside of primary job responsibilities
Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems
