ICON is looking for a Manager of Information Technology to lead the Digital Infrastructure function at ICON. As the Manager of Information Technology at ICON, you will be responsible for ensuring the ICON team has technical support to make dignified housing accessible to everyone and advance humanity with our technology. This role is based at ICON’s Austin, TX headquarters and will report to the Director of Facilities and Infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work cross-functionally with leaders in Operations, InfoSec, Control Systems, Engineering, Software, Communications, Finance, and other departments.
- Hire, train, and develop a team of IT professionals as ICON grows.
- Articulate to stakeholders the value of recommended solutions and approaches.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, run-books, and other procedures to ensure ICON’s IT practices are both repeatable and defensible.
- Build and maintain IT asset tracking processes and tools.
- Participate in technology evaluation and recommendations.
- Contribute to the System Security Plans (SSPs).
- Assist staff with currently integrated audio/visual solutions for presentations, live-streams for all staff at multiple locations.
- Manages financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting, etc.
- Assist with the development of business case justifications and cost-benefit analyses for IT projects and initiatives.
- Perform system maintenance duties, ensuring enterprise applications are kept current with vendor releases, patches and other requirements.
- Provide input into the development of short – and long – range IT strategy.
- Lead IT Help Desk and provides technical support to end users.
- Handle hardware and software problems, incident investigations, and provisioning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network related issues in both LAN and WAN environments.
- Manage provisioning/de-provisioning processes.
- Manage physical access controls and Video Management System (VMS).
- Develop and implement the policies and procedures to support the organization's IT and information security goals.
- Ensures the reliable processing and support of business operating systems including on-premise, hosted, and SaaS.
- Support InfoSec in the deployment and management of security controls, compliance requirements, and other security initiatives as required.
- Manage a lean and capable team of IT and integration engineers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of IT experience in high growth companies.
- 2+ years of experience managing a team or IT function.
- Experience with cloud and on-premise IT infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud configuration and management within the industry-leading cloud storage environments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Deep functional understanding of networking, operating systems, WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, security, and other Information Technology concepts.
- Ability to develop business cases to support IT and infrastructure investments.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and learn new business systems quickly.
- Service-oriented attitude for your internal ICON customers.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience in solving both business and technical problems, training, and developing detailed business requirements.
- Functional understanding of information security concepts of Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability (CIA) as well as cybersecurity technologies/functions such as IAM, Vulnerability Management, EDR, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM, CASB, BC/DR, etc.
- Industry-recognized IT or Cybersecurity certifications will be considered with favor.
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- 3+ years of experience owning IT administrative responsibility.
- Experience managing a team of IT engineers, architects, and/or technicians.
