Overview

We are hiring a Controller who is ready and eager for an ambitious opportunity to build something from the ground up.

In this role you will break out of the bureaucracy and rote processes of typical corporate accounting, put your ambition to the test, and build the team and operating methods that we need to scale.

To date, Prokeep has used an external accountant, but now, with you and our new VP of Finance’s leadership, it is time to bring the function in house and build for scale as we grow to over 100 employees.

What should be true about you….

  • You want to build.
  • You want to be pushed and challenged in your work environment to be held accountable to high expectations.
  • You’re frustrated by the stagnant processes and limited creativity that define many corporate accounting roles, and you want to be a part of rapid growth and continuous change.
  • You want the level of ownership, pride, and responsibility that comes with working inside a company and being trusted to make decisions, problem solve, and deliver at the highest level.
  • You are resourceful, and are happy to take direction or figure something out yourself, and by nature, you research, pursue, and learn what you need to take the next step.
  • You are energized by the thought of rolling out new initiatives and methods through a company and getting buy-in.
  • You love excel. There’s no other way to put it.
  • You know that perfect is the enemy of the good.
  • You like a mix of routines and projects, and will never let the routines slip.
  • You are comfortable working up or down a hierarchy and across functions.
  • You’re ready to take on a challenge and level of responsibility that gives you purpose and pride.
