Overview

Prokeep is seeking a highly motivated and skilled BI Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our data infrastructure, data models, and schemas, delivering impactful Business Intelligence solutions. You will also be responsible for creating data visualizations and reports that provide actionable insights to our business stakeholders.

As the first dedicated BI Engineer at a rapidly growing SaaS start-up, you will have the opportunity to shape our data infrastructure and help us build a data-driven culture. If you’re passionate about working with data and enjoy solving complex problems, we’d love to hear from you.

In this role, you have the opportunity for unbounded growth. You will take our nascent BI function and architecture and build it out from the ground up. You will work closely with experienced leaders in our Finance, Revops, and Product teams, and you will have the opportunity to level up and grow the team we need for scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain our data infrastructure, including data models, schemas, and ETL processes. This will include our data lake layer, as well as the data mart and summary table layers of our BI infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
• Develop and maintain a library of dashboards, reports, and visualizations that communicate key business metrics to stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain data security and governance policies to ensure the accuracy and privacy of our data.
• Continuously monitor and optimize our data infrastructure and visualizations for performance and usability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in the BI space and recommend improvements to our existing data architecture and visualization tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a BI Engineer or similar role, working with data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization tools.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with data warehousing technologies, such as Amazon Redshift or Google BigQuery.
• Proficiency in data visualization such as Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, Looker, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
