A note on structure: This role starts as a part-time position at 20 hours per week through the end of 2026, with a planned transition to full-time starting January 2027. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us and is ready to step into a full-time seat at the start of the new year.

Your Mission

Prokeep is looking for a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting operations that keep our books clean and our close process moving. Reporting to the Controller, you will be a core contributor on a lean finance team, responsible for the transactional accuracy, reconciliations, and controls that sit underneath everything we report. You will work inside our HubSpot-to-NetSuite-to-Versapay stack and have real ownership over improving how it runs, not just operating it. If you are someone who finds broken processes and fixes them without being asked, this role is built for you.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full-cycle general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals

• Support timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, by owning key aspects of the process within the closing checklist

• Support, then grow to own own, subscription,billing and collection process

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies

• Manage revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606, including deferred revenue schedules

• Administer and optimize NetSuite ERP workflows, including reporting, saved searches, and system integrations

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation

• Partner with FP&A, billing, and operations teams to ensure accurate and complete financial data

• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience

• Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP - including GL management, reporting, and system configuration

• Solid understanding of GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and subscription-based business models

• Curiosity and desire to leverage rules-based and AI-driven automation across accounting and finance workflows

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for financial analysis and reconciliation

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Prior SaaS or technology startup experience is a plus.
